Who's speaking - Dr Teresa Corbett and Dr Kate Lippiett, who will share their recent experiences in conducting systematic reviews of qualitative studies, top tips and issues to avoid.
Dr Teresa Corbett is a Lecturer in Psychology at Solent University, Southampton. She was awarded her PhD in Psychology and Health from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2017. Her research to date has focused on health behaviour change and the development of interventions for those self-managing health conditions. Recently, Teresa’s work has focused on the experiences of older adults living with multiple complex conditions. Teresa is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. She is also a member of the UK Society of Behavioural Medicine and co-leads the Cancer Prevention and Screening Special Interest Group.
Dr Kate Lippiett is a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, providing management and evaluation support to the Wessex Cancer Alliance led Cancer Nursing Across Boundaries project and working with the Wessex Cancer Alliance to support the treatment programme of work. Kate has worked in the NHS since 1999, first in general management, completing the NHS management training scheme in 2003 with a MSc in Health Management from the University of Birmingham in 2005. She re-trained as a nurse and specialised in respiratory nursing. In 2020, Kate completed a full-time PhD at the University of Southampton, identifying and characterising patient experiences of burden of treatment in lung cancer and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
