WASP Facilitator - Secondment opportunity
Secondment Opportunity - Deadline 10 June 2021
We are looking for an additional WASP Facilitator to join the hive! This post is offered on a secondment basis, initially until April 2022. It would suit a health or social care professional who has personalised care at the heart of what they do and wants to develop and share this with others. You do not need a comprehensive understanding of personalised care strategy, but you must be passionate about its delivery. Confidence in delivering training and facilitating multi-professional group discussions is essential, as is being an effective team player. You must be able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and have excellent organisational and communication skills.
As part of the WASP team, you will be involved in all aspects of programme development and delivery, including the delivery of online training, providing team mentoring and support. You will also be required to support the research aspects of this programme, which are being conducted in collaboration with NIHR ARC Wessex.
We don’t expect you to hit the ground running – if you are keen to learn. Full training and support will be given by your fellow WASP’s.
Here at WASP, we are all about supporting clinical systems to implement principles of Personalised Care into every day, routine service delivery. Our approach recognises that the delivery of personalised care behaviours requires system wide support – from those who commission services to those who deliver them. It also requires an understanding of how personalised care is perceived by service users, and how they want to see this delivered.
We successfully integrate personalised care training with quality improvement methodology, mentoring and support – to ensure that improvements can be systematically identified, implemented and sustained. We work with a broad spectrum of specialities involved in supporting people with both physical and mental health conditions.
The WASP programme incorporates a bespoke system wide assessment – and we are excited that a digital version of this will launch in 2021.
