Delegation in home care refers to the process of homecare staff taking on activities which have previously been done by healthcare staff and which are increasingly being delegated to homecare workers. We will briefly discuss some recent research taking place on delegation and some research which has looked at retention and job satisfaction in homecare before having a discussion about how these topics overlap.

We will be hearing from

Cat Forward (Chair), King’s College London - Pro-health - a study examining healthcare delegation to homecare staff.

Brief overview the study looking at the attitudes to and interest in how homecare staff are being asked to take on these activities.
