About the event
Dr Rhiannon Joslin is a physiotherapist who is passionate about improving health services for children and young people experiencing musculoskeletal pain. Her work focuses on empowering young people using creative and novel methods, providing a platform to hear their under-represented viewpoint. She was part of the guideline development group for the World Health Organization guidelines on the management of chronic pain in children and continues to represent physiotherapy within this field.
Karen Hurtubise completed her doctorate in Clinical Research in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Université de Sherbrooke (2020), Canada. She is currently completing a post-doctoral fellowship funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research at McMaster University's, CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research. Her research has focused on Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation of innovative service delivery models (e.g., e-health) in Pediatric Rehabilitation, She uses Participatory approaches and Patient, Family, and Public Engagement methods, Qualitative, Quantitative and Mixed Methods designs to study complex Interventions.
